What is Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and how can it be applied?
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) involves analyzing and optimizing user journeys to increase conversion rates, based on targeted testing and data.
What is Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)?
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) is a structured approach aimed at improving the conversion rate of a website or application, i.e., the percentage of visitors who perform a desired action (purchase, registration, download, etc.). It is based on the analysis of user behavior, testing (A/B, multivariate), and targeted optimizations to remove barriers to conversion.
In e-commerce, CRO often relies on accurate and well-structured product data from a PIM (Product Information Management) system. For example, enriched product sheets, high-quality images, or SEO-optimized descriptions can reduce bounce rates and increase sales. Dynamic personalization (such as displaying targeted promotions or recommendations based on purchase history) is also a key lever.
