What is the Agec law? Who is concerned?
Contents

The Agec law came into force on January 1, 2023.

In e-commerce terms, if your company generates annual sales of over €50 million and sells at least 25,000 products a year on the French market, then you're directly concerned.

If you're not yet Agec-compliant, don't worry: all the features you need to comply with this new law are already included in on PIM ! Find out more in the dedicated blog post.

To summarize the article:

The infographic dedicated to the AGEC law summarizes the new legal obligations for online retailers: display of the environmental impact of products (raw materials, recyclability, repairability...), particularly for companies with sales in excess of €50m or 25,000 part numbers.

It explains how to centralize this data in a PIM to automate its display on product sheets, marketplaces, catalogs and print media. The solution also guarantees traceability, updates and consistency between channels.

This approach transforms a regulatory constraint into a competitive advantage, by providing clear, compliant transparency that enhances end-user value.
