Inbound Marketing
What is inbound marketing?
Inbound marketing is a methodology centred on naturally attracting customers by creating and distributing relevant, useful and personalised content. Unlike the intrusive techniques of outbound marketing (ads, unsolicited emails), inbound marketing aims to create value in order to attract prospects, convert them into customers and build their loyalty.
This strategy rests on four key stages:
- Attract: through optimised content (blogs, SEO, social media) that meets your target audience's needs.
- Convert: by offering resources (whitepapers, webinars) in exchange for contact details.
- Sell: using tools such as CRM or marketing automation to turn leads into customers.
- Retain: by keeping engagement going through personalised content and quality customer service.
Inbound marketing relies on levers such as content marketing, SEO, social media and data analysis. A PIM (Product Information Management) system like Quable strengthens this approach by centralising and enriching product data, ensuring it stays consistent and relevant across every channel. For example, a detailed, optimised product page on an e-commerce site can attract qualified prospects and guide them toward a purchase.
The benefits of inbound marketing are wide-ranging: lower acquisition costs, better organic search rankings, and stronger customer trust. By combining this strategy with a PIM, companies boost their visibility, engagement and commercial performance.
