Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) is a structured approach to improving the conversion rate of a website or app — that is, the percentage of visitors who complete a desired action (purchase, sign-up, download, etc.). It relies on analyzing user behavior, testing (A/B, multivariate), and targeted optimizations to remove barriers to conversion.

In e-commerce, CRO often relies on precise, well-structured product data from a PIM (Product Information Management) system. For example, enriched product sheets, high-quality images, or SEO-optimized descriptions can reduce bounce rates and increase sales. Dynamic personalization (such as displaying targeted promotions or recommendations based on purchase history) is also a key lever.
